Welcome to AMS ORGANISATION Page

This PAGE is under CONSTRUCTION

The organisation of the Society is prescribed in the Society's Constitution. Brief basic information is given below:

Branches: The Society is organised and works primarily through parish branches. However, there is provision for alternative opportunities for branch life, on other than parish boundaries, where there is no branch in the parish.

Branches are autonomous in the matter of programming their activities and for their general administration; and a branch may have its own constitution, provided that it does not conflict with that of the Diocesan Council. A branch's only financial obligations are the affiliation fees agreed upon by the Diocesan Council.

Parish Branches: Two or more members may, with the concurrence of the Vicar/Rector, apply to the Melbourne Diocesan Executive for registration as a Branch.

Diocesan Branches: There is provision for members having interests in common, but not necessarily residing in the same parish or diocese, to form branches. Such branches, to be known as Diocesan Branches, will provide the opportunity for members to further such common interests.

Groups or Regions: Groups in particular regions or districts of a diocese may come together as groups for their mutual advantage. Visitations. Group meetings and other combined activity give impetus to the corporate life of the Society.
